HAYDEN, Idaho (AP) — Police in northern Idaho have identified a man and woman killed in an apparent murder-suicide.
The Kootenai County Sheriff's Department tells the Coeur d'Alene Press that 43-year-old Daryl R. Clark first killed 48-year-old Tina M. Clark before shooting himself Thursday morning.
Police say Daryl Clark called 911 to report he had shot his wife.
When deputies arrived at the residence, they heard a single shot.
Police say Tina Clark appeared to have died from gunshot wounds, and
that Daryl Clark appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot
wound. Autopsies are planned.
Lt. Stu Miller says it's unclear what led to the deaths.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
