OWASSO, Okla. (AP) -- Tulsa County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a 69-year-old Tulsa woman on a first-degree murder complaint in the death of her husband.
An arrest report says Vickie McNeely was arrested Friday after calling 911 and saying she shot Daniel McNeely after he threatened her with a knife. The report says Daniel McNeely had what appeared to be five gunshot wounds -- including one to the back of his head -- and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The report says two knives were also found near his body.
Deputies say Vickie McNeely declined to speak further with investigators until she hires an attorney.
Online jail records on Sunday show McNeely remained jailed without bond.

We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
