Hayden, ID: Police identify couple in apparent murder-suicide

HAYDEN, Idaho (AP) — Police in northern Idaho have identified a man and woman killed in an apparent murder-suicide.

The Kootenai County Sheriff's Department tells the Coeur d'Alene Press that 43-year-old Daryl R. Clark first killed 48-year-old Tina M. Clark before shooting himself Thursday morning.

Police say Daryl Clark called 911 to report he had shot his wife. When deputies arrived at the residence, they heard a single shot.

Police say Tina Clark appeared to have died from gunshot wounds, and that Daryl Clark appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Autopsies are planned.

Lt. Stu Miller says it's unclear what led to the deaths.
