Delanco, NJ: Police: NJ Man Strangled Girlfriend's Grandfather

DELANCO, N.J. (AP) ― Authorities in southern New Jersey say a man strangled his girlfriend's grandfather and buried the body in a shallow grave behind a relative's home.

Twenty-four-year-old Richard Still of Delanco was arrested Friday. He's being held on $1 million bail at the Burlington County Jail.

Still is charged with murder in the death of 73-year-old Louis Berger Jr.

Berger was reported missing in February after he failed to attend his grandson's birthday party.

County Prosecutor Robert Bernardi said Still, who lived with Berger and his granddaughter, allegedly killed Berger at the home during an argument.

Berger's body was found Thursday night behind the home of Still's cousin in Mount Laurel.

Still has not yet retained a lawyer.
