Tallahassee, FL: Ann Grosmaire Dies From Injuries Sustained in Shooting - UPDATE

The teenager accused in the shooting will face a more serious charge.

The Florida State Attorney's Office plans to increase the charge against 19-year-old Conor McBride.

Authorities say McBride shot his girlfriend, Ann Grosmaire, on March 28 at a home on Mill Branch Road in Tallahassee.

Grosmaire died on Friday, April 2.

McBride had been facing an attempted murder charge. Prosecutors plan to change that to a second-degree-murder charge.

Law enforcement believe the couple was arguing when McBride shot Grosmaire, then turned himself in to police.

Grosmaire's funeral service has not yet been set.

McBride remains in the Leon County Jail on attempted murder charges. However, LCSO will turn over the case to the State Attorney's office who have the ability to amend those charges due to Grosmaire's death.

However, the new charges are not expected to be announced on Friday.
