A man is being charged with second-degree homicide for allegedly shooting his girlfriend following a fight on New Year's Day, according to Tampa police.
Shortly before midnight, Samuel Harrison, 68, and Annie Ruth Wall, 61, were having a domestic dispute at the apartment they shared for more than a year and a half at 1224A E. Martin Luther King Blvd, the report said.
Harrison then armed himself with a pistol and fired one round, killing Wall, the report said.
