One person was killed and another was critically injured in a double shooting in the Port Richmond section last night, police said. In a separate incident, a 27-year-old woman was found dead - possibly strangled - in South Philadelphia.
An unidentified male was found shot to death around 7:30 p.m. in the 2800 block of East Pacific Street, police said. A second male had multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to Temple University Hospital. No arrests were reported.
The woman was pronounced dead shortly after 7 p.m. on the second floor of a residence in the 900 block of South 16th Street, police said. A man who lived with her was arrested a few blocks away. - Robert Moran
