Oak Brook police say the ex-husband of a woman shot to death outside the Double Tree Inn in Oak Brook early Friday is a person of interest in the murder.
Jerry Hudson is wanted for questioning in the death of Melissa Bridgewater, 45. Both Bridgewater and Hudson lived in Bolingbrook.
Bridgewater was shot to death in her car in the parking lot of the hotel at 6 a.m. this morning. The hotel is located on 1909 Spring Road.
Investigators said early on the murder did not appear to be a random act of violence.
Hudson also goes by the nickname "Shorty". He is 5'9" and 215 pounds. Anyone who knows where he is should call police immediately.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
