Horry County police are investigating what officers say is a murder-suicide.
Lt. Jay Brantly says around 4:00 Sunday afternoon a man was discovered near Highway 905, and officers determined it was a suicide.
Then, around 10:00 p.m. Sunday, family members found a woman dead inside a home on 4917 Main Street in Loris.
Brantly says officers determined that the man found on 905 was dating the woman on Main Street and he killed her and then killed himself.
Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick says the woman is 45 and from Loris and an autopsy will be performed Monday morning.

We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
