Pasadena police are searching for a man wanted in the death of his girlfriend a day after her birthday party.
Alvaro Hidalgo Lopez, 25, is charged with murder in the stabbing death of Camelia Garza, 33, at her home in the 2300 block of Thomas, police said.
Police said Garza was stabbed several times. Her body was found Monday.
Pasadena police at first only wanted to talk with Lopez about the case, but homicide investigators say they have uncovered evidence linking him to the slaying.
Lopez had attended Garza's birthday celebration the day before the woman's body was discovered.
Anyone with information about the case or Lopez's whereabouts is urged to call the Pasadena Police Department 713-477-1221 or Crime Stoppers 713-222-TIPS.
