CYPRESS, Texas - Investigators are trying to determine what led to a double shooting in northwest Harris County that ended with a woman wounded and a man dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Deputies arrived Wednesday morning to the Central Park Regency Apartment Homes on Regency Green Drive and found the woman was shot in the chest. She was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital in unknown condition.
Homicide investigators say the 54-year-old man who shot the woman also fired a gunshot to his own head and later died at Ben Taub.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
