Kissimmee, FL: Couple found shot to death in apparent murder-suicide in Kissimmee

Jackinlin "Jackie" Estremera's screams could be heard up and down Kent Place in Kissimmee early Sunday as she tried to escape her estranged husband, who was threatening her with a gun.
Her calls for help were silenced by what neighbors said were three to six gunshots.
Kissimmee police found the 30-year-old mother of five shot to death alongside her 31-year-old husband, Ramon Bartolomey, about 2:45 a.m. Sunday at the Kensington apartments, police spokeswoman Stacie Miller said.

Investigators said Bartolomey shot his wife to death and turned the gun on himself a few hundred feet from the apartment where she had recently moved. The couple had recently separated, Miller said.
Bartolomey was the owner of the Magic Sky Transportation taxi service and an auto-repair business in Kissimmee, state records show.

Estremera's children, ages 1 to 13 — including twin girls and a boy the couple had together — were at a slumber party when the shooting occurred.

Neighbors milled around the apartment complex Sunday sharing what few details they knew.
Miracle Abraham said she saw Bartolomey walking around angrily seconds before she heard the screams and gunfire.

"He came here to kill her," she said. "I've never seen anything like this before."

Abraham and her sister directed police to the bodies in the parking lot.
Some neighbors said they saw Bartolomey hiding around Estremera's apartment hours before the shooting, but no one called police, Miller said.

Family members who arrived to take charge of the children said Estremera was the victim of an abusive relationship. After four years of marriage, they said, the couple's fights had whirled out of control.

A man who identified himself only as Estremera's grandfather said the woman left the couple's Kissimmee home a few months ago to live in the apartment with a roommate. He said he expected violence would erupt soon.

In November, Bartolomey was charged with domestic violence in Orange County, records show. However, a records search found no indication that Estremera had sought a court order to protect herself from her husband.

Members of Bartolomey's family could not be reached Sunday.
