Deadly gunfire today in a Scott County Virginia home. One man is dead and his wife is critically injured after an argument exploded into gunfire last night.
It happened at the couple's home at 7101 Clinch River Highway, near Clinchport, Va. in Scott County.
According to Sheriff John Puckett, that's where 40-year-old Kevin Carter shot his wife - 31-year-old Samantha Carter and then turned the gun on himself.
Samantha Carter ran next door to a neighbors' home.
She's was in critical condition at last check.
