Man beats girlfriend to death, assaults man she was with

At around 5:30 a.m. on April 21st Phoenix Police were called to the area of 6100 N. 27^th Av. in reference to a possible dead body. Upon arrival police learned that the suspect had entered a labor business in the strip mall area asking for medical assistance because he did not feel well. Witnesses in the business noticed that the suspect was covered in blood. The suspect left the office area but returned moments later and continued to ask for medical assistance.

One witness in the office became curious and decided look around the area outside. When he went to the rear of the building, the witness discovered the victim laying on the ground with injuries to her face and not moving. Phoenix Fire paramedics examined the victim and determined that she was deceased. Police were then called to the scene. Fire personnel also treated the suspect for injuries to his hands.

The police investigation revealed that the victim and suspect were alleged to be boyfriend/girlfriend. At some time around 3:00 a.m., according to the second victim who had returned to talk with police, the suspect became angry because he caught the two victims together and proceeded to assault the male. The male victim immediately fled the area. The male victim reported he heard the female victim screaming as he ran away from the area.

Detectives were able to determine from the preliminary investigation that the suspect had beaten the victim to death. The suspect was booked into jail on one count of murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
