The remains of a beautiful teenager who went missing on a night out have been found in a field.

19-year-old Kenia Monge disappeared on March 31 from a nightclub in downtown Denver, leaving her purse and mobile phone at the club.

Prosecutors say 31-year-old Travis Forbes picked her up and later killed her. Forbes has now been charged with her first degree murder.

Disappeared: The teenager had been on a night out in Denver when she went missing
On Wednesday the white van driver physically led investigators to the buried body, in a field near Keenesburg, about 40 miles from Denver.

Forbes has confessed to the murder of Kenia Monge and is cooperating with police, 9News reported.

He allegedly told investigators that he and Kenia had fought and he killed her.

Denver police first questioned the bakery driver in April, but hadn't called him a suspect until this week.

Forbes, who is in jail on unrelated charges, has previously denied any connection to Monge's disappearance.

At the time she went missing he told police he picked her up at about 2:30 am and planned to give her a ride home but ended up leaving her at the gas station.

'She walked off with no coercion, under her free will.' he told The Denver Post in April.

According to 7News Forbes later sent Monge a text message which read:
'Hey, this is Travis, the guy who gave you a ride last night, white creepy van :) did you get home okay?'.

Forbes was observed by security cameras at the bakery where he works on the day of the high school graduate's disappearance, The Denver Post reported.

In the video he is seen wearing latex cleaning gloves up to his elbows as he turns off the security cameras at 7:22 p.m. -- He was not scheduled to work that day.

Later that night, an area man reported that he saw two or three men behind the bakery burning something inside a 55-gallon metal drum.

Police have now searched Forbes' van and seized several items, including a large cooler from the bakery where he worked, the newspaper reported.

He was arrested in July after police said he sexually assaulted and tried to kill a woman before setting her home on fire.

On the 'Help US FIND Kenia' Facebook page,Tony Lee, Kenia's stepfather posted this heart breaking message on Wednesday:

'With great great sadness I have to report to you that denver police has called me and they believe they have found Kenia.'
