Greer, SC: Greer Woman Sought in Boyfriend's Murder

By Fred Cunningham

Greenville County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a woman who they say murdered her boyfriend in Greer before his remains were found in Woodruff.

Warrants charge Elvira Lynn Seay – also known as Elvira Robinson – with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime in the death of Juan Luis Tafoya-Gonzalez.

Seay, 46, is accused of killing Tafoya-Gonzalez, possibly at a home on Anderson Ridge Road in Greer. Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office investigators say the victim’s body was found on Prince Caldwell Road in Woodruff on May 3. He was shot multiple times.

GCSO investigators say they have evidence that links Seay to the murder. The couple lived at a home on Anderson Ridge Road for nearly a year according to deputies.

Seay is white, approximately 5’5” and weighs 200 pounds. GCSO investigators provided a picture of the suspect with dark hair, but they believe she now has sandy brown to blondish hair.

If you have information, you’re asked to call Greenville County Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME or the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.
