BLOOMER - A Boyceville man shot and killed himself Wednesday night after firing a round at his ex-girlfriend's daughter.
According to the Chippewa County Sheriff's Department:
Authorities were called shortly after 7 p.m. on a report of an armed man who was threatening the occupants at 12512 220th Ave. in the town of Bloomer, northeast of the city of Bloomer.
Theodore J. Heinzke, 52, reportedly came to the residence, where his ex-girlfriend and her daughter live. The ex-girlfriend recently had moved there following a domestic incident in October in Boyceville, for which Heinzke was arrested.
Heinzke, standing in the driveway, was armed with a shotgun and a rifle and threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend, her daughter and her daughter's husband, saying they all were going to die and then he would kill himself.
The shotgun was taken away from Heinzke by the daughter's husband, who fled into the house. Heinzke then shot at the daughter but missed as she also fled into the residence.
Heinzke then turned to his ex-girlfriend, threatened to kill her and turned the rifle toward her. She fled the driveway and went into a garage out of sight, running out the back door to a neighbor's house.
Heinzke then shot himself in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Chippewa County coroner.
The daughter, who was shot at, was unhurt.
The incident remains under investigation.
