Knox County Police have charged Joseph Rivera with first-degree murder after he was accused of killing his wife in a West Knoxville apartment Saturday. He is being held on a $250,000 bond.
Witnesses say that Rivera and his estranged wife, Christene, had been arguing on the front porch of her Bramblewood apartment around 5:00 p.m. last night. When police arrived on the scene, they found the victim dead on the floor of the apartment. Cause of death is still being investigated.
