An Horry County man charged in the death of of his girlfriend will serve probation.
Christopher Skeens pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in court Wednesday.
He ran over Erica Nordman, 19, last April. Skeens was trying to run over a man he had been fighting with, when Nordman jumped in front of his SUV.
She died of massive head trauma.
Skeens was sentenced to up to six years in prison as a youthful offender.
The sentence was suspended and he won't have to spend time in prison if he completes three years probation.
