KILN — Hancock County Sheriff Ricky Adam says
21-year-old Kevin Boudreaux is in custody after allegedly shooting and
killing his sister, 20-year-old Janelle Boudreaux.
Adam says the shooting happened during a dispute in Kiln.
Relatives told WLOX TV the dispute started after the suspect ran into his ex-girlfriend at the Pass Christian parade.
The suspect reportedly wanted to reconcile and asked the ex-girlfriend to come to the Kiln home.
When
the ex-girlfriend arrived at the house, authorities say the two began
arguing. That’s when the family said Janelle Boudreaux stepped in to
break up the argument and was shot by her brother.
It was unclear whether Kevin Boudreaux has an attorney.
