A Paradise couple is dead after what police are calling a murder suicide. The two bodies were found Wednesday afternoon in a room at the Budget Inn motel on Highway 70 in Marysville. Police believe the man shot the woman before turning the gun on himself.
Clerks at the motel say the couple checked into the hotel on Monday but didn't check out Tuesday morning. When clerks went to check on the couple, they found the bodies. Police have not released the names of the couple, but say they are from Paradise. Their names will not be released until family members are notified.
