An investigation continues into an apparent murder-suicide Wednesday night in Lawson.
Police were called around 10 p.m. Wednesday concerning shots fired in the 500 block of Country Drive. When they arrived, they found Dale Banning, 46, in the street suffering from gunshot wounds in front of a home.
Inside, police found Banning’s daughter, Michelle Canton 21, and husband Alex C. Canton, 23, dead from apparent gunshot wounds. A toddler, age 2 or 3, was found unharmed, according to Lawson police.
Banning was air-lifted to Truman Medical where he is listed in stable condition, according to Lawson police.
Lawson police, Ray County Sheriff’s Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol are continuing the investigation.
