OAK GROVE, Ky. (AP) -- Police say a Fort Campbell soldier was killed by her husband in an apparent murder-suicide at home in southwestern Kentucky.
WSMV-TV in Nashville reports that Oak Grove police received a call around 2 p.m. from a man who said he fatally shot his wife. The man told authorities he would wait for an ambulance, but at some point he shot himself.
Police have not released the couple's names.
Police said the their two sons, a 4-year-old and a 6-year-old, were home at the time but were not harmed. Police told the news station the couple had a history of domestic violence and were having financial problems.
