A man was stabbed to death this morning after an argument with his girlfriend in the Lawndale neighborhood.
Andre Brooks, 41, of the 1900 block of South Trumbull Avenue, was pronounced dead at 1:51 a.m. at Mt. Sinai Hospital, according to a spokesman for the Cook County medical examiner's office.
About 12:39 a.m., Brooks was stabbed by his girlfriend while they were arguing at his residence, said police. It is not clear if they shared the residence. .
The victim's 41-year-old girlfriend was taken into police custody. No charges have been filed at this time, police said.
Police are investigating the incident.
