Bail was set at $250,000 Thursday for a man accused of strangling his Oak Lawn girlfriend and leaving her body in a closet covered with clothes.

Bradley Boston, 44, who Cook County prosecutors say shared a home with Diane Robinson in the 10200 block of South Central Avenue before moving out last weekend, allegedly stabbed and strangled Robinson sometime between Saturday and Tuesday. He is charged with murder.

Saturday was the last time anyone heard from Robinson. Her family reported her missing about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Two hours later, Robinson's daughter and a maintenance worker went to the mother's apartment and found her in a closet on top of a Rubbermaid container with clothes on top of her, prosecutors said today in bond court at the Bridgeview courthouse.

Boston told police he was with Robinson on Saturday arguing over money and the fight was so loud Boston apologized to nearby neighbors, prosecutors said.

He put his belongings in garbage bags during the weekend and left with Robinson's car, prosecutors said.

Boston has a 1996 battery conviction, for which he received 12 months probation, court records show. His family did not want to comment after Judge William Kunkle set Boston's bail.

He is next due in court June 18.
