Patrick McLeod, the Albion man whose wife was found dead in the home they shared at 293 Barber Road, was charged with second-degree murder today.
McLeod, 54, pleaded not guilty to the charges at his arraignment before Judge Howard Allen Jr. in Albion Town Court. He was jailed without bail.
State police found Marie McLeod's battered body at the Barber Road residence after McLeod, who showed up at the trooper barracks in Pulaski early Monday, told Trooper Todd Hall he had killed his wife late Sunday morning with a baseball bat and a knife.
McLeod, who is retired from Chrysler, was hospitalized overnight for an undisclosed illness before being booked this morning on the murder charges.
He is due back in court July 20.
