JEFFERSON, La. (AP) — The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating an apparent murder-suicide in the community of Jefferson.
A statement from Sheriff Newell Normand reports said the shooting was reported Saturday morning after a man found his parents at their home.
Homicide investigators said it appears that 89-year-old Branighan shot his wife, 89-year-old Clara Branighan then turned the gun on himself.
