COLUMBUS, Ohio --
A man accused of fatally stabbing his girlfriend Friday night is arraigned in court Tuesday morning.
Steven Holcomb, 46, appeared before Judge Glaeden, who set his bond at $1 million, with conditions of no further acts of violence and no possession of firearms.
According to Columbus police, officers received a 911 call from Holcomb at 9:37 p.m. Friday, saying he had killed his girlfriend, Rachel Hudson, 43, at a home in the 1600 block of East Livingston Avenue earlier in the day and that he wanted police help before he killed anyone else.
Officers responded to the home on East Livingston Avenue and found Hudson's body with stab wounds in a second-story bedroom. Columbus medics pronounced her dead.
Officers found Holcomb at a home on Eureka Avenue and West Broad Street. He was arrested and charged with one count of murder.
Holcomb's preliminary hearing is set for 10 a.m. Monday, June 4.
He currently is being held at the Franklin County Jail.
