A man attempted to kill his wife Friday night at the Park La Brea apartments and then killed himself, authorities said.
The man's wife suffered undisclosed injuries and is being treated at a local hospital, said Los Angeles Police Department Lt. Bill Heard.
Heard said the incident occurred Friday night within an individual apartment unit at Park La Brea, a large gated community in the Mid-Wilshire neighborhood.
The man's name has not been released, pending notification of family. But he was described by an investigator at the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner as a 32-year-old Korean male.
Detectives were still investigating the incident Saturday morning, Heard said.
