INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis man was shot and killed during an argument at his ex-girlfriend's home Monday, police said.
The shooting happened just after 1 p.m. in the 3300 block of Voigt Drive.
Police said Melvin Strickland, 25, went to the home of his ex-girlfriend, with whom he had a child, and the two got into an argument.
Another man who was at the home got involved and shot Strickland, police said.
Strickland was initially expected to survive his injuries but he died Monday evening at an area hospital.
The man who police said shot Strickland ran from the scene but was located Monday afternoon.
