ST. CLAIR COUNTY
A Steele man has been charged with murder in the shooting death of his girlfriend, St. Clair County Sheriff Chief Deputy Gary Cone said.
Rodney Gladney, 39, is charged with murder in the death of Betty Jean Cannon, 43.
Cannon was shot in the head following a domestic dispute late Thursday or early Friday at the home where the couple lived on Chandler Mountain Road, Cone said.
Gladney was taken into custody that night and later charged with murder, Cone said.
