Couple's children now staying with relatives, police say.
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (KTLA) -- A 37-year-old man went to his estranged wife's home Tuesday morning and shot her to death before taking his own life, police officials said.
Police officers responded to a 9-1-1 call just before 8:15 a.m. at a home in the 1300 block of E. Hardt Street. The 9-1-1 caller told dispatchers that two adults were "down" inside the home.
When police arrived, they found Yao Nhaw Pak, 37, and Ammalin Bilavarn, 31, lying on the floor of the home. Both had sustained gunshot wounds to the upper body, according to the San Bernardino County Coroner's Office.

Pak and Bilavarn were married but separated, San Bernardino police officials said. Pak allegedly went to Bilavarn's house and shot her. He then turned the gun on himself.
Paramedics pronounced both dead at the scene.
The couple had two "school-age" children who are now staying with relatives, police officials said.
