A 23 year old Canton woman is behind bars charged in the brutal stabbing death of a young mother. Danna Thomas was arrested on the scene. The deadly attack happened Tuesday night at Joe Richard homes.
"She's gone, she's gone I lost my child." And the baby? She's lost her mom. This is hard to deal with." Kenya Anderson remains in shock over the brutal murder of her daughter.
A makeshift memorial is erected beside the apartment where she was stabbed repeatedly. Canton police say the stabbing resulted from an ongoing feud between the young women. They both dated and shared a child each by the same man. Her mother said, "The girl started harassing Jasmine and telling her when she sees her she is going to kill her and threatened her."
Investigators say Jasmine and her friends went to the Canton apartment complex looking for Thomas after 9 p.m. Tuesday night. Words turned into a bloody confrontation.
We have learned Jasmine Anderson was afraid of Thomas. Just 8 days ago she went to court to get a peace bond on her accused killer.
Danna Thomas is charged with murder and is being held on a one million dollar bond.
