COPPELL, Texas - Two people were found dead inside a Coppell home Tuesday morning following what police are calling a murder-suicide.
Police said someone called 911 at about 10 a.m. from inside the house on Parish Place and said someone there was going to commit suicide.
When officers arrived at the location they found the bodies of a 58-year-old man and his 57-year-old wife. Their names have not yet been released because relatives are still being notified.
Police suspect the man killed his wife and then himself.
Officers responded to the same house this past Friday for a domestic disturbance call. They ended up arresting the couple’s teenage son.
Neighbors believe the family was having some financial difficulties. They had become more and more withdrawn from friends.
“That’s the tragedy of this whole thing is that now we have an only child who does not have a mother or father and that must be really hard. That’s what really hurts,” said Karen Weaver, a neighbor and friend.
Coppell police officers responded to the scene and discovered the body of 58-year-old William John Schuster Sr. in the backyard of the residence with a fatal gunshot wound. Inside the residence, officers discovered the body of 57-year-old Sara Carter Schuster with a fatal gunshot wound. No one else was at the residence.
