Marion Township, MI: Marion man kills himself after stabbing wife's boyfriend
4/30/11 - A Marion Township man is dead after authorities say he tried to kill his estranged wife’s boyfriend and then killed himself. State Police from the Brighton Post say they responded to a home invasion call in Marion Township shortly after 12am Saturday. The suspect, identified only as a 40 year old male, had reportedly entered the home and stabbed the boyfriend of his estranged wife in the neck throat and abdomen. The 41 year old victim was transported to the University of Michigan hospital and was last listed in critical condition. The suspect was located in his residence with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was taken by Survival Flight helicopter to U of M, but died shortly before 9am. State Police were assisted by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department and Fowlerville Police. (JK)
