Keenu Tiyme Faces Mandatory Life In Prison

DENVER -- A Denver jury has convicted a 37-year-old in the slaying of his former wife in a failed suicide pact.
Keenu Tiyme was found guilty Tuesday afternoon of first-degree murder in the death of 39-year-old Kauri Tiyme.
According to testimony, the two had rented a motel room on Oct. 28, 2008, as part of a suicide pact.
Kauri Tiyme's body was found in the room the next day by a housekeeper.
Keenu Tiyme was arrested four days later in New Mexico after a brief chase and crash. He had pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.
The jury deliberated two days before reaching a verdict.
Tiyme will be sentenced on June 30 to life in prison.
