A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?

Lancaster City, PA: Mother of five murdered, police searching for killer
Police in Lancaster City are searching for the killer of a 33 year old woman.
Police aren't releasing much information surrounding Diana Spencer's murder, but we spoke with one of her cousins who believes her killer may be her ex-boyfriend.
Lancaster police say that someone shot and killed Spencer just before one Saturday morning. They found her body inside 26 Old Dorwart Street in the city.
She was taken to Lancaster General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
One of her cousins says she was a mother of five.
The woman's cousin says that she was in an abusive relationship with a gang member and tried to get out of it several times.
Investigators say they're interviewing witnesses and say this shooting doesn't appear to be random.
Lancaster police say that if you know anything that could help them in this investigation, you're asked to give them a call.
