OKLAHOMA CITY — Testimony has begun in the murder trial of an Oklahoma City woman who is accused of killing her husband in 2007 and later burning the body.
Thirty-nine-year-old Exondia Salado is charged with first-degree murder although the body of her husband — Manny Salado — has never been found. Exondia Salado has said her husband left her.
The Oklahoman reports that a friend of Exondia Salado testified Tuesday that Salado admitted killing her husband. April Stubbs said Salado told her she shot her husband when he lunged at her and later burned the body.
Defense attorneys say Manny Salado may still be alive and that he left his wife for a woman he met during a visit to his native Dominican Republic.
