Los Angeles, CA: Woman Stabbed to Death by Boyfriend, Sons Tackle Him

Police say a domestic dispute led to the stabbing that took place at around midnight on East Fairmount Street.

BOYLE HEIGHTS (KTLA) -- Authorities said a 48-year-old woman was stabbed to death by her boyfriend while her 23-year-old son suffered minor wounds to the forehead, trying to protect her, early Sunday morning in Boyle Heights.

Police say a domestic dispute led to the stabbing that took place at around midnight on East Fairmount Street.

The victim's sons, both in their 20's, held down her boyfriend and attacker until the police arrived.

She was rushed to County-USC Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Detectives said the suspect knocked on the door, confronted the woman's sons, struggled with one of the sons and stabbed him in the forehead.

He then continued to the back room where he stabbed the woman several times.

The woman's name has not been released but she is being described as a 48-year-old Hispanic female.

The suspect, is described as a Latino male in his early 50s.

The man was arrested and taken into custody at the scene, he has not been identified.
