Las Vegas, NV: Vegas Murder-Suicide Couple ID'd

LAS VEGAS -- The Clark County Coroner’s Office on Wednesday identified a man suspected of stabbing his girlfriend before killing himself as 31-year-old Michael Gebreneguse.

Gebreneguse died after police said he stepped in front of a tractor-trailer on U.S. 95 near College Drive early Tuesday morning.

His girlfriend, Fethawit Okbai, 19, of Las Vegas, was found a short time earlier stabbed to death at the couple’s home on Tropicana Avenue near Lindell Road. Her cause of death was multiple stab wounds, the Clark County Coroner's Office said.

Police said the couple had lived at the home for the past year and a half.
