Woman, Man Found Dead

HARTFORD, Conn. -- Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide at an Albany Avenue home in Hartford.
Police said a woman was stabbed to death and believe the man who did it hanged himself behind the Blue Hills Avenue post office.
Police did not release the names of the couple, but the woman's son spoke to Channel 3 Eyewitness news.
The woman who was stabbed to death was identified as Sandra Ellison by her son Negel Bryan.
Bryan said he wants people to know what happened to his mother.
He said his mother met Noel Wallace in Jamaica in 2001, and after they had married, Wallace moved to Hartford in 2009.
Bryan said trouble in the relationship began almost immediately. He described Wallace as jealous and insecure and said Wallace hit his mother and threatened to kill her, saying if he couldn't have her, nobody could.
Despite a protective order, Bryan said, Wallace continued to contact Ellison.
Bryan said he believes Wallace followed Ellison home after work Wednesday night shortly before 10:30 p.m. and stabbed her. Ellison was found on Albany Avenue suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced dead a short time later.
Bryan said Wallace then fled the scene and hanged himself behind the post office.
The incident remains under investigation.
Man Stabbed Woman, Killed Self In Hartford
HARTFORD — A man fatally stabbed a woman and then killed himself Wednesday night, police said.
The "homicide-suicide," as police are calling it, was a case of domestic violence, Sgt. Dennis O'Connor said Thursday.
Shortly before 10:30 p.m., police received 911 calls about a woman at 1205 Albany Avenue who was suffering from multiple wounds from "an edged weapon," said O'Connor, reading from a report. She was transported to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 10:57 p.m.
