A 29-year-old woman accused of shooting her husband to death in Louisiana was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Fulton County after a tipster alerted police.
Tamika Starks was taken into custody without incident at a Campbellton Road home, Det. Melissa Parker with Fulton County police said.
Fulton County police went to the home after a tip that the murder suspect had returned to the home, west of downtown Atlanta, Parker said. Fulton County police confirmed an arrest warrant had been issued in Jefferson Parish, La., Parker said.
Starks is accused of gunning down her husband, 32-year-old Roland Starks, Sunday night, Sgt. Larry Dyess with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office said Wednesday.
Roland Starks was found on the porch of a home near the one he and his wife lived in, police said. The man died at the scene.
Tamika Starks will be extradited back to Louisiana, police said.
