HANNIBAL, Mo. | Prosecutors have asked for a competency evaluation for a Lawrence woman charged with killing her former boyfriend.
Howell County prosecutors have asked for the evaluation for 30-year-old Annette Cross.
Cross and her brother, Dale Cross of Hannibal, 28, are charged with first-degree murder, first-degree arson and armed criminal action in the shooting death of 37-year-old Andrew Day. Day’s body was found inside his burned home in Mountain Grove on Sept. 15.
The Crosses’ mother, 53-year-old Joann Cross, and 20-year-old Kristin Smith, both of Hannibal, were also charged.
