The shooting deaths of a man and a woman whose bodies were found in a Clovis apartment early Tuesday are being investigated as a murder-suicide, police said.
The couple reportedly had been arguing before the shootings, police said. They were identified as Graciela Rodriguez and Hugo Anzaldo, both 25 of Clovis, by the Fresno County Coroner's Office.
A relative was trying to sleep in the apartment on the 700 block of Music Avenue when he heard loud noises about 12:45 a.m., said Clovis police spokeswoman Janet Stoll-Lee. He ran outside, yelled for help and then called 911.
The relative is not a suspect, and police are not looking for any other suspects, Stoll-Lee said.
Officers found a pistol-grip shotgun -- which they believe was the weapon used in the killings -- in the apartment, Stoll-Lee said.

Rodriguez and Anzaldo had three young daughters who were staying with a grandmother at the time of the deaths, Stoll-Lee said. It is unknown whether they were married.
Letters spelling out "Happy Birthday" were strung near the front door of the apartment because one of the victims recently had celebrated a birthday, Stoll-Lee said. However, no party had been going on at the apartment Monday night or early Tuesday, she said.
Jesse Satteson, who said he lives just north of the apartment complex where the shooting took place, said the couple "were good people. They always seemed happy."
Clovis Animal Services took in the family's dog at the request of neighbors who were temporarily caring for the animal.
The dog will be returned to remaining family members.
There had been no homicides in Clovis this year before Tuesday's killings.
The city had two homicides in 2009, the most recent on July 4 of that year.
