Fresno Police revealed new information Wednesday into a murder suicide, which left three people dead in Northwest Fresno Tuesday evening.
According to police, 51-year-old Robert Acuna went to the Villa Siena Apartments on Fig Garden and Santa Fe, in hopes of reconciling with his wife, 50-year-old Gloria Acuna.
However instead of a reconciliation, Gloria, her son Steven and Robert were all found shot dead.
Police say their investigation indicates Robert shot both his wife and son before turning the gun on himself.
20-year-old Steven was shot in the upper body, just outside the apartment. His mother Gloria was found shot in the head inside the apartment, right next to Robert who also shot himself in the head.
Next to Gloria's body was a large wedding portrait of Gloria and Robert with an inscription on the back reading, "It was never enough. I will always love you." It also cryptically said, "RIP 7-13-10."
Officers say Robert had threatened to kill Gloria in the past, with an incident back in 2009 where he said he would kill her if she divorced or separated from him.
The couple also had two other adult children together.
