LEXINGTON – Lexington Police responded to a shooting late Sunday night that resulted in the death of a Lexington woman.
Sergeant Tracy Wolf said the incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. at a residence in the 800 block of N. Erie in Lexington. Darcey Lee, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy is pending.
Sgt. Wolf said officers were summoned to a call in reference of a possible shooting. Officers arrested 26-year-old David Lastra, also of Lexington, on suspicion of second-degree murder, use of a weapon to commit a felony and felon in possession of a firearm.
The Lexington Police Department is investigating the incident as a homicide and is being assisted in the investigation by the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office and Dawson County Attorney’s Office.
