Pima County Sheriff’s detectives have officially declared the two bodies found in a northwest side home on Monday were the result of a murder-suicide.
David Rosas Munguia, 37, stabbed 41-year-old Ceciela Lopez multiple times before shooting himself to death, according to a Pima County Sheriff’s Department news release.
Deputies found two bodies inside a home in the 7300 block of North Camino de la Tierra about 3:15 p.m. Monday after responding to a call of an unknown problem at the home.
Detectives learned Munguia and Lopez had gotten into an argument, at which time Munguia called a family member who lived nearby to come to the home, the release said. When the family member arrived she found the bodies, according to the release.
The couple, who were boyfriend and girlfriend, had two children together.
