Salt Lake City, UT: Police seek third brother for questioning in woman's murder

SALT LAKE CITY -- Salt Lake City police are looking for a second suspect in the murder of a 19-year-old Salt Lake City woman. That suspect is the brother of a man already arrested in the case.

Police say new information has led them to call 21-year-old Alvaro "Acuaro" Arriaga-Luna a suspect in the death of Stephanie Williams. Arriaga-Luna's brother, 33-year-old Delfino Arriaga-Luna, has already been arrested in connection with Williams' murder.

Police say they want to bring Acuaro Arriaga-Luna in for more questioning. He may be driving a 1997 white Ford Crown Victoria with a Utah license plate number B653EK. Anyone with any information is asked to call police at 801-799-3000.

Williams' mother discovered her daughter's body inside her Salt Lake City home Monday. She had been shot to death. Neighbors say they heard gunfire Sunday night.

Police arrested Delfino Arriaga-Luna Tuesday morning. Friends of Williams say the accused killer was in love with her -- even going so far as to buy her an engagement ring. They say jealousy may have been a motive in the killing.

Then on Tuesday, police arrested another brother, 37-year-old Benjamin Arriaga-Luna, in connection with a separate murder. Jail documents say Benjamin Arriaga-Luna confessed to shooting and killing 33-year-old Benacio Hernandez-Herrera.

On Sunday, passersby found Hernandez-Herrera's body in a field near 6400 West and 7400 South in West Jordan.

According to jail documents, Benjamin Arriaga-Luna told police he and Hernandez-Herrera got into a fight, and he shot Hernandez-Herrera numerous times.

Benjamin Arriaga-Luna is being called a person of interest in the Williams murder as well.
