HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Police have charged a Waikiki man with murdering his ex-girlfriend. 44-year-old Kevin Dale was arrested Monday.

Dale is accused of beating 33-year-old Christi Hokoana at his apartment along the Ala Wai on January 9th. She died of her injuries last Friday.
Dale told police Hokoana fell during an argument and lost consciousness, but doctors say her injuries were inconsistent with his story. Last year, Hokoana's legal guardian had filed a temporary restraining order against Dale.
