Shreveport Police officials say two men have died since Saturday after two unrelated stabbings.
Jarvis Taylor, 35, was found in the 4000 block of Golf Links Boulevard suffering from a stab wound to the chest.
Investigators believe Taylor was involved in a domestic dispute with a woman, which escalated into her arming herself with a knife and stabbing Taylor.
Taylor later died at LSU hospital.
The woman was questioned by police and released.
Officers also responded to a stabbing call at 1:17 a.m. Monday morning in the 2900 block of Hattie Street. Johnny Washington, 38, was found suffering from a stab wound to the chest.
Investigators say Washington had entered his ex-girlfriend's residence. The two began fighting and the woman stabbed Washington. He later died at LSU hospital.
The female was questioned by police and released.
A compilation of daily news articles from around the United States about deaths (including both people and animals) that appear to occur in the context of a past or present intimate relationship, focusing on 2009-present. (NOTE: this blog is limited to incidents that appear in the media and are captured by our search terms. We recognize this is not an exhaustive portrayal of all deaths resulting from intimate violence.) When is society going to realize intimate violence makes victims of us all?
